Tips for Waxing Thread
Wax helps to reduce tangling, fraying and improve the glide of thread for hand sewing, and strengthen the durability of the stitches on finished product.
Generally, any task that requires a little extra strength from your thread will benefit from using wax. You can apply wax on our unwaxed (and waxed thread) if you need to achieve some extra stiffness. Waxing should always be done before handing sewing to keep your thread from tangling. Natural wax may effect light color threads; while white wax and pure beeswax do not. Consider your application before making your selection.
In this short video, we'll show you a clean and non sticky way to wax your thread for hand sewing. Ivan's new premium hand sewing wax has been put inside this convenient plastic case.
